This Spitfire is an unfinished restoration, part of a deceased estate that has been off the road since 2018. The vendor reports that the engine has recently run but it needs a new battery, and the car won't drive because the clutch and brake pedals are seized. It was last MOTed in 2017 at 35,593 miles, and the MOT record suggests this figure to be genuine. Much work has been done since, including fitting new driver's floors and sill.
It comes with plenty of parts to help complete the job, including a new door skin, lower bonnet panels, stainless steel exhaust, new springs and a box of new hoses for the engine bay. Hood, tonneau cover and two rear boot racks are also present.
The car comes with a good history file with V5C, handwritten notes, old MOTs, invoices and sundry paperwork going back to 1996 when the speedo showed 24,132 miles.
